Does anyone remember The River?

I just found The River again on Amazon Prime and spent a day re-watching all eight episodes. I had forgotten how entertaining it is. An entire show done in found footage that isn't annoying shaky came the whole time, and it explores some really interesting and genuinely creepy legends of the Amazon. It manages to be both a horror show and an adventure show with enough mystery to keep me coming back.

I hate that it never got the recognition it deserved and was canceled before it could really get any steam built up. I think a couple of seasons could have been really fun to watch.

I never even heard of this series before, but at only 8 episodes long it sounds easy enough to marathon. How long is each episode? Approx. 22 minutes? Double that?
