Does the spell Shadow Blade work with the bladesinger?

I’m working on my bladesinger/arcane tricker (who I LOVE). I’m only level 1/1 right now, but I’m looking ahead at this spell.

Do the bladesinger bonuses work if my character is using this as his weapon instead of his elven thinblade (rapier)?

Yes it works. The only constraints on bladesong are armor, shield and two handed weapon usage. Any other weapon works fine including the shadow blade spell.

Yeah, bladesong isn't tied directly to the weapon proficiency you gain as a bladesinger, so shadowblade works. What doesn't work as a bladesinger is any medium or heavy armor, shields, or attacking with two hands on a weapon.

Using shadowblade on a bladesinger can be a little annoying though, as both take up bonus actions.
