This build is awesome and all, but I want to see how wicked it gets at level 10, given access to more feats and such.

Don't go too heavy on magic items, because my DM is quite fickle about "Starting wealth"

A list of high power monsters would be helpful as well

Totemist 2 to pick up Riding Bracers would be good. Two essentia gives you a +8 insight bonus on Handle Animal checks. Beast Heart Adept 1 to pick up Monster Handler would let you use your insane Handle Animal bonus on magical beasts and aberrations with Int 1 or 2. If you change your race to Drow or Half-Drow, you can pick up Vermin Trainer (Drow of the Underdark) to do something similar with vermin. If you have the dragonblood subtype, you can pick up Dragon Trainer (Races of the Dragon) to use Handle Animal on dragons with Int 6 or less. Rage Drake (MM3) appears to be the best draconic option. After that... Marshal 4 is slightly useful, or you could keep going Commoner to prove a point.

Feat-wise, you'd be looking for something to take at 6th and 9th... and I'm not really seeing anything that affects Handle Animal that Bubs doesn't have already. Taking Iron Will + Hardened Criminal (City of Stormreach) would let you take 10 on Handle Animal checks, although at that level your bonus would be so high I'm not sure you'd ever need it. Draconic Aura might be nice, particularly if you can get the Vigor aura from PHBII.

deepwyrm half drow is pretty good if you go for vermin trainer, since it nets you both the dragon blooded subtype and handful of somewhat useful minor SLAs with no LA plus a CL equal to character level. As dragonblooded, access to draconic auras can give your pets some pretty nice boosts.

Bubs is human to get things online as soon as possible, but if you're willing to lose the bonus feat since you don't need to be functional so early on, you can go illumian with the vaul sigil for a +2 racial bonus on all CHA-based checks, including HA.

A dip in exemplar (technically not possible at level 10, but easily possible at level 11) tends to make sense for any character whose self-definition hinges on one critical skill.

Animal lord gets a +4 bonus on HA checks with their favored animal group.

Do you have an insight bonus yet? Check out pp. 116-117 of Secrets of Sarlona. Two feats (Dream Scion and Dream of Instinct) will let you enter a "dreamtouched state" a few times per day, which you can end for a +10 insight bonus to a single skill check. Since the dreamtouched state increases your mental scores by 2 while it lasts, you arguably get a net +11 from this.

If you can keep up a respectable Truespeak bonus (which is, admittedly, nontrivial), you can get universal aptitude for either a feat (possibly two feats if you want Truename Training as well) or a dip in truenamer, and that gives you a +5 typeless bonus on all skills if you can succeed at using it on yourself.

If you stick with normal everyday human, Mark of Handling gives a +2 typeless bonus on HA all day every day.
