So, what is the best program for an online real time D&D game? I'm looking for the least obtrusive/easiet to use. Something that has a clean interface for posting pictures and has a dice roller and a chat room function is probably more than enough. Thoughts?

OpenRPG is your best ticket, if you're not on a Mac. I hear the python scripting plays hell with the MacOS.

http://openrpg.com/ is good. I think there is another site some where that expands it.

Screen Monkey (http://www.nbos.com/products/screenmonkey/screenmonkey.htm) is pretty good too, though I don't use it because my computer occasionally just doesn't like something, and I couldn't get the DMing stuff to work.

Actually, the difficulties it has with a Mac are minor enough that it's still the best program for the job.

Is openrpg only for d20 D&D or can it be set up to use other games like star wars 2nd ed, shadowrun, or deadlands?

It can be used for any game that uses a tactical map that either uses squares or hexes.

It works well with other systems as well.

BTW, if anybody wants to play an openrpg campaign/session, I'll be glad to join.
