The prestige class suggests you can wear magical items and so that you can break your wow of poverty and keep the class.
Is it right?
Also is the touch ability usable at distance with some shenanigan (a no save pacifying effect seems quite useful)

Vow of Poverty has more to it than the AoP's wording will override. VoP says you donate your wealth and rewards, it says you can't own magic items, it says you can't wear magic items. AoP only says you can wear protective magic items, but not that you can own them. So borrowing a ring of protection or bracers of armor from a party member can work, but the VoP bonuses are most likely going to be higher than what those items will grant. It doesn't allow you to ignore the vow for anything but borrowed magic items that protect your character.

Pacifying Touch is a supernatural ability, so something like Spectral Hand won't allow you to deliver it at a distance as that's limited to spells, it doesn't even work for spell-like abilities. If you find something that allows you to deliver a touch-range supernatural ability at range, it should work for that.

Yeah, the "magic items" wording in Apostle of Peace is a known bit of rules weirdness. (It made it into the Dysfunctional Rules handbook).

Ring the Golden Bell might work to get the touch effect at range, but I'd have to dig a little deeper into the rules on that.

Ring the Golden Bell is a ranged unarmed strike, in all ways. It explicitly calls out Stunning Fist as an example of an Unarmed Strike rider effect that works with RtGB. So, I would rule that it also is compatible with Pacifying Touch.

would the inflicted damage cancel the effect of the touch?
