The old Wait, WHAT? (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?509169-Wait-WHAT) thread was necroed yesterday, then promptly closed.
But I like the original idea, so - maybe, let's continue it?

The thing which puzzled me: Chaond planetouched (Monster Manual II) are said descendants of Slaadi; in the fluff for Anarchic Bloodline feat (Dragon #311/Dragon Compendium) one of possible ancestry variants is Slaad; reproduction of Slaadi is combines elements of Clone by Conversion (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CloneByConversion) and Chest Burster (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChestBurster) - neither of which allow for half-breeds, thus - also preventing existence of more distant kinship...

Same way dragons do it: polymorph/Shapechange.

Same way dragons do it: polymorph/Shapechange.Reproduction of dragons have no fundamental difference from reproduction of other higher vertebrates: couple have some fun, then - pregnancy, then - offspring.
Reproduction of Slaadi is nothing alike - why would they intercourse with humanoids?
Also, there are plenty of Half-Dragons, but (AFAIK) in 43 years of D&D there wasn't a single Half-Slaad...

Bauphitars are a mixture of Human, Minotaur and Fiend. Three parents. Weird.

Could just be a fiendish minotaur or something right? Or isn’t there that demon prince that looks like a minotaur?

Baphomet is a Demon Lord and basically just a big minotaur. Additionally, Goristros are a kind of demon that is also very minotaur-like.

Nope. A wizard did it. (http://archive.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=fr/pg20020904b)

That's just the nature of chaos. It uhh...finds a wayThen why the Slaadi of all things?
Why not Chaos Beast, Xac-Yij, or Neraph?
Even a Gormeel (quadruped lawful Slaad variant) - despite being allies with Githzerai, and being able to take a shape of Githzerai, don't procreate with Githzerai.

Nope. A wizard did it. (http://archive.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=fr/pg20020904b)OK.
Didn't knew it.
Note: this variant of Baphitaur don't match with what printed in the Underdark.
(Also, both versions have listed flat-footed AC... Except - Natural Cunning prevents them from being flat-footed ever! :smallamused:)
