A battlefield prodigy ducks in and out of cover, weaves past foes, and always manages to position himself perfectly for victory. They make excellent flanking partners, battlefield controllers, and switch hitters.

Panache
A battlefield prodigy regains panache by making a killing blow or critical hit only while behind cover against the target, having concealment from the target, while flanking the target, or from higher ground than the target, but can do so with any weapon.
This alters panache

Deeds
A battlefield prodigy gains the following deeds, which each replace an existing deed.

Prodigy’s Tactics (Ex)
At 3rd level, as long as he has at least 1 point of panache, a battlefield prodigy treats his allies as if they had the same teamwork feats as the prodigy for the purpose of determining whether the prodigy receives a bonus from his teamwork feats. Additionally, he can pay 1 panache as a free action in order to treat all his allies as if they had all betrayal feats he knows for the purposes of determining whether he can initiate their effects for 1 round. This deed replaces menacing swordplay.

Masterful Positioning (Ex)
At 3rd level, while he has at least 1 panache point, a battlefield prodigy adds his swashbuckler level to the damage dealt by melee attacks while behind cover against the target, having concealment from the target, while flanking the target, or from higher ground than the target. Any creature that is immune to sneak attacks is immune to the additional damage granted by masterful positioning, and any item or ability that protects a creature from critical hits also protects a creature from the additional damage of masterful positioning. This additional damage is precision damage, and isn’t multiplied on a critical hit. This deed replaces precise strike.

Mobile Initiative (Ex)
At 3rd level, while the battlefield prodigy has at least 1 panache point, he gains a +2 bonus on initiative checks. In addition, he may take a 5-foot step as part of the initiative check. This deed replaces swashbuckler initiative.

Springing Flank (Ex)
At 7th level, when the battlefield prodigy strikes a foe using Spring Attack, Improved Spring Attack, or Greater Spring Attack while he has at least 1 point of panache, allies count the square he attacked from when determining whether they flank the foe until the prodigy's next turn. This deed replaces superior feint.

Plow Through (Ex)
At 7th level, when a battlefield prodigy hits an opponent with a melee attack while he has at least 1 point of panache, he can choose to make an overrun combat maneuver against that opponent as a swift action, moving up to half his speed in a straight line as part of this maneuver. This deed replaces Menacing Swordplay.

Springing Reposition (Ex)
At 11th level, when a battlefield prodigy strikes a foe using Spring Attack, Improved Spring Attack, or Greater Spring Attack while he has at least 1 point of panache, he can attempt a reposition combat maneuver against that target as a swift action. This deed replaces bleeding wound.

Quick Disengage (Ex)
At 11th level, a battlefield prodigy can spend 1 point of panache to withdraw as a swift action. If he does so, he may move no more than half his speed. This deed replaces subtle blade.

Hold Ground (Ex)
At 15th level, as long as the battlefield prodigy has at least 1 point of panache, he can not be forcibly moved from his space, except by mind-affecting or teleportation effects. This deed replaces dizzying defense.

Battlefield Shape (Ex)
At 15th level, as long as the battlefield prodigy has at least 1 point of panache, he can, as a full-round action, move up to twice his speed, performing a reposition combat maneuver against any creature he becomes adjacent to during this movement. These maneuvers do not provoke attacks of opportunity, thought the movement provokes as normal. This deed replaces Perfect Thrust.

Impossible Placement (Su)
At 19th level, when a battlefield prodigy ends his turn behind total cover and concealed against all foes, he may pay 1 panache to teleport to any location also behind total cover and concealed against all foes within 60 ft, as per dimension door.

Disorienting Maneuver (Ex)
At 19th level, when a battlefield prodigy succeeds at a bull-rush, overrun, drag, or reposition combat maneuver, he can spend 1 panache point to daze the creature for 1 round. The creature must succeed at a Will saving throw (DC = 10 + 1/2 the swashbuckler’s level + the swashbuckler’s Dexterity modifier) or be dazed for 1 round. This deed replaces stunning stab.

Mobile Tactics
A battlefield prodigy gains spring attack as a bonus feat at 1st level. He may use this feat as a standard action, but only needs to move at least 5 feet before the attack, and may only move up to half his speed in total, if he chooses to do so. He may still use his charisma score in place of his intelligence score to qualify for feats.
This replaces Swashbuckler Finesse

Expert Positioning
At 3rd level, a battlefield prodigy increases the bonus to AC he receives from cover by +2. This bonus is halved for partial cover, and increases by an additional +2 at 7th level, and every four following levels.
This replaces nimble

Weapon Training
A battlefield prodigy gets weapon training as the fighter class feature.
This replaces Swashbuckler Weapon Training

Weapon Mastery
A battlefield prodigy gains weapon mastery at 20th level, as a fighter.
This replaces swashbuckler weapon mastery
