I'm spicing up my Houserule document with some rudimentary FRPG formatting.

What are your go-to fonts for various headings, as well as your go-to main font?

Right now I've got the whole thing in Arial, and it looks way off when I add the classic yellow background and dark red-brown text color xD

How about:

<lots of purdy fonts>

These are gorgeous. Imma steal.

At OP: have you looked at D&D's Homebrewery (https://homebrewery.naturalcrit.com/)? It does use the style in the D&D books, but even for another system it might look good.

Yeah, I have a couple in my signature. The formatting is just suuuuper finicky for WIP. I managed to find a font native to google docs that looks nice, you can check it out in my houserule collection ^^

For a humorous effect I'd like to say "Comic Sans," but...

The default font is not half bad really. And to be frank, I have so many fonts lying around, Even working in printing, the licensing schemes I'm not too sure about. (Some custom fonts for free for personal use, but not for commercial use, a metric crapton of fonts approved for commercial use by my* employer*, but not for me to play with, and so on...) I may find a font that looks nice and works with RPG Maker, but then notice that it, too, can not be used unless I go through a expensive and complicated license procuring maze...
