A thread for everyone to post the best deals in the current Steam sale!
(Mods: Every mod has permission to edit this post to keep the list sorted and up to date with the best deals posted by others.)

List:
Dark Souls: Remastered (https://store.steampowered.com/app/570940/DARK_SOULS_REMASTERED/) 90% off for owners of the original Dark Souls (40% for everyone else)

Portal 2 is also 90% off, on top of already being a low price, if someone haven't played it yet.

The newer Tomb Raider trilogy has a nice discount as well, Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider are 85% off (on already diminished prices) and Shadow of the Tomb Raider is 60% off. Haven't played the last on yet so can't give my opinion on it, but the first two are really well made games.

Both REmake 2 and Devil May Cry 5 are 33% off, for AAA games released this year (DMC5 is barely 3 months old) I think that's a good deal.

That's what I've seen so far.

Darke Souls II (https://store.steampowered.com/app/236430/DARK_SOULS_II/) and III (https://store.steampowered.com/app/374320/DARK_SOULS_III/) are 75% off.

And Darkest Dungeon (https://store.steampowered.com/app/262060/Darkest_Dungeon/) is 70% off, 65% the complete bundle with all DLC.

Cities: Skylines is 75% off too, now at 7$. For those who don't know, it's basically Sim City, with more customization.

I just noticed that the Borderlands Handsome collection (as far as I can tell, this is every Borderlands game + all DLC) is at a 97% discount (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/8133/Borderlands_The_Handsome_Collection/) and available for about $5. For reference, the usual price is over $200.

Edit: Correction, it's just Borderlands 2 and the Pre-Sequel, so no original Borderlands. Seems kinda odd to leave that one out, but whatever. Still a really good deal.

The Valve Complete Pack (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/232/Valve_Complete_Pack/) and the HalfLife 1 Anthology (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/237/HalfLife_1_Anthology) are 95% off.

Don't forget that you can trade in tokens from that Grand Prix thing for a discount.

edit: fixed the link

I was going to update the first post with all the deals, but we never got past the first page, and it's all still very easily findable and legible.

Thank you all for your contributions!

So... pondering buying some old shooters. Half Life 1 and Outlaws. I know a lot about the latter, but not a lot of the former. Do you think it would be worth 99 cents to try Half Life if I haven't played any/many shooters of that era?

HL1 should stand up as a decent shooter, it was excellent in terms of atmospheric storytelling and bits of horror amidst the action. Certainly worth a dollar, at least.

HL1 is certainly worth a run for sure. Also its expansions aren't too shabby either, particularly Opposing Force, although they are likely best if you finish HL1 and still find yourself craving more.

You accidentally linked the Half-Life 1 Anthology (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/237/HalfLife_1_Anthology/). This is the Valve Complete Pack (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/232/Valve_Complete_Pack/).

Honestly, if you have the cash available, I'd say just get the Valve Complete Pack, lots of good games in there for $6.99. Highly recommended. But, if you can't get the extra $5.64 in the next several hours, you won't go wrong with the Half-Life 1 Anthology for $1.35.

I haven't played it yet, but Black Mesa (https://store.steampowered.com/app/362890/Black_Mesa/) is a fan-made remake of the original Half-Life still in Early Access, currently 60% off.

Embarassing. I fixed the link.

The South Park Games (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/6115/Bundle_South_Park__The_Stick_of_Truth__The_Fractur ed_but_Whole/) are 90% off. Be warned that you need a Ubisoft account for the second game.

Daedalic games are 80-90%, both different bundles (https://store.steampowered.com/sub/55062/) and individual games like Edna&Harvey (https://store.steampowered.com/app/255320/Edna__Harvey_The_Breakout/) (highly recommended!) and The Whispered World (https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/1976/The_Whispered_World_Complete_Pack/).

The video editing software Vegas Pro 15 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/689790/VEGAS_Pro_15_Edit_Steam_Edition/) and 16 (https://store.steampowered.com/app/883140/VEGAS_Pro_16_Edit_Steam_Edition/) are on >200€ discounts. I have no personal experience with them and there are some negative reviews concerning the stability, but if video editing is your jam probably worth checking out.

Half-life was very modern for the era. It has more story than most, it has a lot of spoken dialogue, it has very interesting level design, decent AI... it's worth a look if you can get it cheap.

Half-Life is still good. The only thing I'd be careful with is whether it can cause nausea. I had this problem with its expansion a few years ago, although not with HL itself. Generally, it's due to a rather narrow FOV angle.

I've never had this issue, and the FOV seemed fine to me for Half-Life and all the official expansions. However, if FOV is an issue, it can be changed. Just enable the console and type the command.
