Is there anyone here who plays Oblivion? I need help with a broken quest.

A Brotherhood Betrayed. I'm supposed to deal with Raynil, then use the three keys he had to open the Waterlogged Chest and take out the Mundane Amulet.

Well, I did that, but the quest isn't updating. My quest marker is still pointing at the empty chest, and my journal is still telling me to open it and remove its contents.

I can't do anything else.

Have you tried taking it back to Erline?

Yep, nothing happened. She talks as if Raynil is still alive, I can't even talk about the amulet.

You don't mention what platform you're playing on, but if you have access to the console, you can try:

setstage ms11 115

If you're on PC you could try setstage ms11 115.

120 is the next part; but I think you'd miss some dialogue? Try 115 first, because you can't reverse a setstage.

Unfortunately starting with Oblivion you can't play around with active quest items, so options are limited there...
