Hello, I was running through the divine section of the Srd and noticed that almost all of the divine salient abilities require a character to be at or above level 20. Why is that?
The reason I ask is I'm creating a campaign setting where it's quite likely that gods will die, and as such I need them stated out. My problem arises with my overdeities. They existed before the 'big bang' that created the universe, thus having no need for arbitrary divisions like classes. For a few years they assumed living forms and progressed without much of their divine abilities, they assended back to their position as overdeities after reaching level 15. One god, Light, has a divine rank of 32, while Shadow has a divine rank of 35, but they qualify for very few divine salient abilities. What should I do?
For those that care/need to know: Light is Fighter 10/cleric5 while Shadow is Rogue 15.
