So my player loves slimes and wants to play a slime researcher who can summon slimes and use slime spells. I am rather new to pathfinder so I am not so sure what class could best acomodate this.
We dont mind reflavoring a familiar and some spells to be more ooze-like, but mechanically he wants to play a more support orientated class and the closer the mechanics are to ooze-like the better guess. Preferably Int or Char caster class.

Any ideas? (pathfinder btw)

Spell Sovereign in DR357 gets a Living Spell familiar.

This is actually a perfect fit for the Scholar (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/scholar) (Spheres of Might) class.
In fact, Scholar has Slime Savant (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/slime-savant) archetype, and nicely fits you in to being able to "tame" slimes as well.

You could also dip in to Wraith (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/wraith) (Spheres of Power), taking the Swarmheart (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/swarmheart) archetype, and refluff to being a swarm of slimes.

(Also, Scholar has talents to enable SoP casting, which are basically blank slate spells, which you can fluff however you want.)

The 6th level Sorc/Wiz Spell, Ooze Puppet (Spell Compendium, page 150), lets you control an ooze for days/level.

Once you get 8ths, there's the Sorcerer/Wizard spell, Awaken Ooze (Dragon Magazine #304, page 38).

An Awakened Ooze gets 3d6 for all mental stats and gains the Aberration type with Ooze traits.

As far as 1st party Pathfinder options, your best bet is probably a Cave Druid - they can wild shape into various oozes, and use Wild Empathy on oozes. Combine that with feats like Craft Ooze, Ooze Whisperer and Ooze Companion (Paizo 3.5) and you'll have the makings of an interesting ooze-themed caster.

There is also an Oozemaster Alchemist archetype. It's rather unimpressive, but hey, throwing oozes as toxins, why not. Independent of that there's also the discovery Bottled Ooze which allows you to do what it sounds like, throw a bottled ooze into the fray and hope it eats your enemies.

A few years back Dreamscarred Press released a gelatinous cube race/class thing in one of their April Augmented releases. You can download it for free from drivethrurpg (It's the 2016 one).

Not really what you're looking at, but if you have access to the 3.0 Book Masters of the Wild, check out the Oozemaster prestige class, just for yuks (or yucks).

Also slightly off topic, but 3.0's Arms & Equipment Guide has the Amulet of the Oozemaster, which lets you ride inside of a gelatinous cube.

I was about to say that too

EDIT:
There's also the Thrall of Juiblex PrC in Book of Vile Darkness

There's some support for ooze-ness in Alchemist, but I think if you're able to use 3rd party stuff the SoM stuff blows it away.

Also, Dragon #358 have Slimy Spell [metamagic] feat (+1; Reflex or nauseated for 1 round; only 1 creature - even for multi-target and AoE spells)

There's the slimelord (http://spheresofpower.wikidot.com/slimelord) prc, third party.

The book Steelforge by DSP has the Gravity Slime Master, a five level prc that can throw gravity slimes at people, get a slime pet (which will eventually be big enough to ride), and coat weaponry in slime.

Oh and while the Scholar class from Spheres of Might was mentioned, the person neglected to mention that if you pick up spheres of magic talents, there's an alteration talent to turn one into an ooze, turn others into oozes, or add ooze traits to another transformation.
