I'm not finding one, and the cleric handbooks don't have much advise on optimizing turn undead.

Most of the things I've seen are for DMM: Persist, and there are handy divine/devotion feats that can be used.

I found this: Cleric's Guide to the Turn Undead (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/367872-Cleric-s-Guide-to-the-Turn-Undead) Not 3.5.

And a thread on these forums: 3.5 Turn Undead Optimization (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?141266)

A few things not mentioned in that thread:

Illumian (RoD p.51): Vaul sigil gives +2 to Cha-based checks at level 2+.

Glory Domain (SpC p.274): +2 on turning check and +1d6 turning damage

True Holy (or Unholy) Symbol (Planar HB p.71): +2 sacred or profane bonus on turning checks, a bargain at 500GP

Admiral's Bicorne (SW p.131): +5 untyped bonus to Cha-based checks among other effects, very pricey at 51,000GP though

Reliquary Holy Symbol (MiC p.110): up to 3 extra turn attempts per day, 1,000GP

If you're not going the DMM route, some other good uses of your turn attempts are:

Divine Spell Power (CD p.80): free action to boost the caster level of your next spell by up to +4

Divine Defiance (FCII p.83): counterspell as an immediate action without readying

Divine Vigor (CW p.108): +10ft base speed and +2 temporary HPs per character level, lasts for minutes equal to your Cha bonus

EDIT: oh yes, and this thread (http://minmaxforum.com/index.php?topic=176.0) lists pretty much every way to boost your Charisma

I cobbled together a bunch of things related to turn undead optimization that helped me here:

Huh. Never occured to me that turning/rebuking is a charisma check. It 100% IS though, which means it can be boosted by a dip in Marshal for Motivate Charisma. That's pretty cool.

I've got this mental image of clusters of clerics huddling around the one cleric who trained to be a marshal, who's barking out motivational speeches into their ears as they walk into battle: "Yes, you are charismatic, and an absolute pleasure to be with! Now let's get those dead and make them deader!"

I've recently built a melee Binder with plenty of uses of Turn Undead every five rounds. I'm using Travel Devotion, Destruction Devotion, Animal Devotion, and Law Devotion to help power up my character.

Yeah, even a fairly low-level Marshal can make a big difference to the turning power of a group of Clerics. If you can find a high-level Bard who can cast Snowsong (FB p.105) and Inner Beauty (FCI p.94) you can make a much bigger difference. Have the Bard cast Snowsong, and cast Inner Beauty on the Marshal. Have someone also cast Eagle's Splendor on the Marshal. Marshal now has +12 Cha. Marshal does the motivate Cha thing. Marshal and Bard walk in the middle of the circle of Clerics so both Snowsong and motivate Charisma affect them all. If the Marshal had 14 Cha to start with, Clerics all now have +10 to turning checks (or to any divine feats which require a turning check).

Nice one, a few things there I hadn't heard of. One minor error: the Bard spell is Hymn of Praise not Hymn of Peace.

Thanks, and thanks for helping me with that typo!
