There's currently a question on Stack Overflow (https://rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/151918/has-rich-burlew-ever-commented-on-5e) asking what, if any, comments Rich has made in regards to 5e. I figure there's no better crowd to ask than everyone here, so if you know anything, either comment here or leave an answer on StackOverflow.

On the OotS forum there is an archive of the Giant's comments, and even if it doesn't cover the subject in particular, the arhivist banana should be the expert to ask on Giant commentary on things. Maybe take a look there too?

Y'all need to work on your Google Fu:

Advanced Search, Keywords "5e", User name "The Giant", Exact Name only, Search for posts only.

Here's the results: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/search.php?searchid=1974394

Keep in mind, the results link will expire after a day or so, not sure exactly how long.

Rich's username is mentioned in the Forum Rules.

He hasn't said much, but he's clearly familiar with the system and its content, and he does seem to read some of the 5e content on the forum. There's a 5e homebrew adaptation on the Binder that he offers some insight on.

Total, though, I was only able to find like 10 posts of him talking about 5e, and most of those mentioned other editions as part of a list, or some kind of fact (this creature hasn't been reprinted until 5e).

He only has one post in the 5e forum, though, which is a moderator post about the forum itself.

I get the sense that he's a massive 3.5 nerd and, like many of them, don't have much to say about the newer editions.

Thanks for trying the link and mentioning your search method, but neither work for me, i'm unable to find the Binder quote you mentioned for one. Got any idea why the search would only display the first page of results and short out when trying to get to the second?

Looks like the link already expired.

I managed to find the Binder link by searching for the word "Fifth" instead of 5e. A lot of stuff came up about his Fifth book, but one of the threads was about a Fifth Edition Homebrew, which caught my eye: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19842326&postcount=222

Although he DID mention that he liked 5e, although that was 3-4 years ago:http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=19164923&postcount=95
