Anyone know where to get some pretty balanced homebrew stuff? I'm fine paying for it, if its balanced. Its why I dislike DMsGuild, because there I have to hand over money and then find out if its of any quality.

Has Green Ronin or Kobold Press put out anything reliable?

Specifically looking for new class archetypes.

Well... (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?481588-D-amp-D-5e-Homebrew-Compendium-2)

No promises on balance, but there's a lot there, and it's all free, so all it costs is time to look.

My Guide to Greatness has around 30 archetypes, developed with lots of feedback from this very forum. I highly recommend. Obviously.

One DM I play with actually has released a few books of different archtypes. I would say they range from a little weak to a little strong.

Here is his page (https://www.dmsguild.com/browse.php?author=Jonathan%20Dupree)

I personally own:

Gathering Magic (MTG inspired spells only)
Hedges & Highways (a few spells but mostly just arche-types)
Heroic Options Volume 1 (Another compendium of arche-types like 2 per class)

EDIT: additional details

Some classes are ports of old 3.5 classes like the Crusader (made a barbarian arche-type) or the Beguiler (made a wizard arche-type) others are d&d imaginings of Overwatch characters, others may be completely original or just classes I did not know.

We actually play on twitch on Friday nights and 1 player is playing he crusader barbarian. So far it seems decent but not overpowered.

Strongly recommend Middle Finger of Vecna (https://mfov.magehandpress.com/?m=1). Great content, produced by GiTP regulars, tons of free stuff, even more great content for Patreon subscribers.

Best place is probably the homebrew forum here. There tends to be useful feedback and multiple iterations of peoples projects (or it used to be, haven't looked there for some time). Whilst this does not guarantee a good end product, it makes it more likely and you can see the points of contention that other players have that might cause an issue in your campaign.

Better still is to make your own at your table - get something tailored to your campaign world and something your players really want to play. It also ensures there are fewer clashes with other character concepts at that table.

Erm, lets see... Grod, Pex, Kryx, MOG, JNA, Segev, plus plenty more regulars here that I cant remember off the top of my head.

... and myself of course.

As other have mentioned, the homebrew forum is a great place to go for free. Also Grod has some really good stuff (at least from what I have commented on and read, I don't own his book). If you see people on here that you know, look in their signature for the extended homebrew posting. Also, look at the first post of this http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?559110-D-amp-D-5e-Subclass-Contest-Chat-Thread, there are some really, really good brews in there that are reviewed by other players.

Anyone know where to get some pretty balanced homebrew stuff?Doesn't exist, I'm afraid. I am totally kidding btw. The homebrew forum here puts out some really great stuff and most of the regulars have a good eye for balance.
