Keen Kitsune

The Kitsune race (Pathfinder) have an alternative racial trait to replace the +2 Cha with +2 Int. Why is something like this not more common?

Human Dual Talent, Half-elf Kindred Raised, Aasimar, Tiefling, Changeling Witchborn, Dhampir, Goblin Oversized Goblin, Ifrit, Lashunta, Oread, Skinwalker, Slyph, and Undine all have options to change their racial bonuses to ability scores.

I give gnomes the exact same ability, because their fluff says that they're crafters and ****, so having a Cha focus really makes no sense

You can also use the Race Builder to make umpteen substitutions like this and name them whatever you want. Water Elf, Cave Dwarf, Garden Gnome you name it.
