So, I'm wanting to make a Kobold character capable of using traps and such in combat, playing into the race's strengths in that department. Thus far the only idea i have for quickly deploy able traps is reskined Druid spells like Spike Growth, Entangle, and Snare, then perhaps picking up some Ranger for things like Ensnaring Strike. I somewhat doubt this is an optimized build, but it's more of a thematic build than optimization. Any suggestions?
