Crafting and Spell Requirements: When crafting an item, can an arcane caster use a divine scroll to fulfill an item's divine spell requirement?

Yes. (Likewise, a divine caster could use an arcane scroll to fulfill an item's arcane spell requirement.)
However, the character has to be able to activate the scroll somehow as part of the crafting process. This probably requires the arcane caster to succeed at a Use Magic Device check to activate the divine spell. If the caster fails to cast the divine spell from the scroll, he makes no progress on the item that day unless he has another source for that divine spell (such as another copy of the scroll).

May the spell's requirement be fulfilled by other means? Namely:
1) Skald's spell kenning
2) Sandman Bard's spell steal

Additionally, should the spell be provided on each day of the crafting process or just one casting is needed?

Yes, the item you're creating actually doesn't care how you cast the spell as long as you cast it. The type of spell doesn't matter either - if you're crafting a potion of cure light wounds for example, it doesn't matter if you use the cleric version (divine) or the bard version (arcane).

In fact, for most items, you can even ignore the spell requirement entirely (raising the craft DC by +5.)

The only time it matters is if you are inscribing a scroll.
Then, it only matters if it is divine or arcane.

I imagine that using a scroll in order to craft a scroll of the same spell isn't something that is generally done, for some reason.... :smallconfused:

It matters for potions, spell trigger, and spell completion items. So scrolls, wands, staves, potions, and a few other things. For most armors, weapons, Wondrous Items, constructs, and other things, it doesn't.

And you may want to have the actual spells for complex items - +5 to the dc isn't much when you can take 10, but it can add up when there are a lot of them.

If you need a cursed item, intentional failure from high DC is needed.
A Girdle of Masculinity/Femininity requires a cursed variant of the Belt of Giant Strength for example when you need it for plot reasons.
