Nessian warhound bite damage

A Nessian Warhound's bite does 2d6+12 damage plus fire. Does anyone know where the +12 comes from? It's +6 strength bonus times 1.5 is only +9. Where does the other +3 come from?

Its Strength is 26, that's a +8 bonus

And as fas as I know single natural weapons like the bites are considered like two hand attacks so the bonus is 1.5 the strength modifier. So from +8 it gets to +12
