Currently my Bard is wearing an easy tear away necklace of Crag Cat claws and has another made of Winter Wolf canines.

Besides declawig ever monster we come acoss, what else should I be looking for?

This came from me wanting something cool and easy to animate.

I usually go for copper coins, ball bearings, or caltrops. But in a few pinches, I've used needles, rocks, glass shards, crushed bones, and nails.

I'm personally a fan of daggers from inside the cloak, or arrows out of my quiver.

Depending on the flavor you're looking for or the particular background things really change. I had a particularly martial bard (Valor) that had a brace of daggers that they animated, which also seemed like a fun evolution of the Cloud of Daggers spell.

A more roguish bard may be inclined to have a ring of keys or hardened steel lockpicks that could be animated in a pinch. Or they might even throw money at the problem and animate some of their coins, perhaps even have a dozen or so sharpened to an edge for just such an occasion.

I do have to say I love the animated tooth and claw bit you have going on currently. That strikes me as absolutely fantastic.

Goodberries? "Up to ten berries appear in your hand and are infused with magic". Wouldn't they count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance? Or does Animate Objects already make them magical?

Actually this wouldn't work as the objects must be non-magical. Ooops..

I had an idea for a comedy villain, a necromancer, who doesn't actually know any necromancy. The idea stemmed from the realization that corpses are considered objects, and therefor animate object can easily create a sort of zombie puppet. Since you're focused on the "tiny" version, maybe do it severed human fingers, or something similarly sinister.

Fuax crawling claws could work well for that and be just as scary

Some good ideas!

I may combine a couple with events which have occurred in game and go have some silver pieces melted down into holy symbols of Pelor, which to me looks like a hybrid between a throwing star and a symbol of the sun.

Storage ideas are important also. If our DM wants an encounter to be more difficult he'll make it an action to get the caltrops out of my pouch or whatever.

Gumballs. The tree-seed things with the spikes, I mean, not the actual candy. They can velcro to each other for interesting cooperative shenanigans, are pointy, and light.

Legos.

Thats fitting as I know my Liquidambar! What did Dirr say about them? Something about resembling a midevil weapon? How fitting. The sweetgum balls are well known in these parts also.

That leads me to think of other horticultural ideas. Malcura puomifera and its "apples"....Juglans *****, the natural U.S. black walnut has some baseballs it drops. I know where someone planted one roadside also....

Mmmmm, what else is terrorfying in the horticultural world....

Fruit of the Death Apple Tree, although the range of the spell makes this a NO! as touching that little beast is probably not a good idea...
-Manchineel plant: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchineel

Gympie Gympie: Another really painful plant but at least you could wear gloves with this one...

Hair pins.

The tall women in front of the alter shakes her head. Long, luxurious hair cascades free in a shower of pins, but the pins do not fall to the floor. Instead, they float beside her head for an instant, then viciously dart towards you!

Childrens toys.

My bard animates puppets.

My wild mage animates dolls he bought in Barovia. They've been hastily stitched back together many times so extra creepy, but that's not the only reason. While silver coins are battering enemies, the dolls are clinging to allies and ready to administer healing potions.

I never thought of administering healing potions with Animated Objects.....interesting.

Yeah as who needs puppets for that as an alchemist could simply cast it on the bottles themselves, I wish I could find an image of that. :)

Alchemists Fire. Have one move into an enemies square and attack either its an extra 1d4 a round or it dies and the enemy just set off an Alchemist's Fire on their own face... and then you send out another one if necessary.

caltrops, or d4 dice :D

That's redundant. You could have added even more redundancy by saying "caltrops, d4 dice, or LEGO bricks."

The heraldry of my forge cleric's family was an owl, so he crafted 10 tiny iron owls that he kept in a belt pouch for Animate Objects.

I'm wondering if you could mix this with other spells to create a gambling-themed character.

You could if you had subtle spell metamagic!

Toy tops or dreidels. You know, just hide them in your cloak before and then let em rip.
