Hello guys :)

My Shadow Sorcelock will soon get access to Hound of Ill Omen and I am looking for a cute name for her dog(I will make it her dog from the Shadowfell)

She is an asimar that grow in the Shadowfell as a Gladiator.
Here is the background from the amazing Tawmis

I am bad at naming pets(I named my real life snake "snake").

The name needs to be as cute as possible to contradict the Hound of ill Omen nature.
The character is all about contradiction.

Missus Fluffykins.

(Yes, it's more of a cat name. That's the point.)

Ok, that is a great name, the problem is that I will break my tongue trying to say it.

But it is high on the list(I did more then tongue play for a character).

First, thank you for the compliment!

Some ideas for names, knowing she's coming from the Shadowfell...
==================================================

Shadowchaser
Tracker
Tracer
(Throw Dark or Shadow in front of those too, such as: Shadowtracker, Shadowtracer, Darktracker, Darktracer)
Moonbubbles (going for the super cute name; but named after the white eyes of the Hound! Cute name, creepy look!)
Fiendchaser (or Feychaser)
Shadowfey (or Shadowfiend, though that's not so much cute as probably obvious...)

Is that close? Or looking for even cuter?

Moonbubbles is great.

I hope no one will be afraid when I tell him that I will sand Moonbubbles after him.

If you have anything cuter I will be happy.

The guy I will threat need to laugh at the name, not to worry.

I am looking for the same reaction you will see from an building after a 8 year old girl announced she will start booming the building.(If you saw Saga of Tanya the Evil, the soldiers in the building thought that was funny, a joke, a prank before the boombs landed).

Pup of Lil' Omen.

(Fun fact: Our current D&D 3.5 group has a ranger whose animal companion is a wolf called Omen, and for a while my character had a druid cohort (until she died) whose animal companion was a dire wolf called Portent. The naming was a joke to that the words Omen and Portent are synonymous)

I'm not great at naming either, but i'll throw in my 2 cents with Blackie and (Black) Borker.

Misty.
Captures the shadowy/gray nature of both the 6th level class feature and the Shadowfell.

First thought (thanks to Road Dahl/Robot Wars) was for calling it Matilda.

Next thought was for calling it Solita. (Sounds happy/sunny but also like soul eater).

Wow, so much good options.
Maybe I will just make it a pact of dogs and everytime summon another to help me hunt and kill.

Ultimate contradiction: “Good omen doggo”. :D

That made me laugh.
I may have used it if it was for a joke game(it is not, we are playing a serious game right now).

More serious version of same name: “Hound of good tidings”

Remember that you can call more than one dog (one dog with each application, if I remember correctly). Thus, make sure to have several names ready if you want to give them personality (perhaps the first dog is always your favorite one)?

You could also go with classical names. They are not silly, but have an aura of stern confidence. Like Hector. Or use the name of Higgins dogs: Zeus and Apollo.

Moonbubbles
Snoogles
Misty
Nemo
And Matilda

You mean 'peeve', right? Of course, it could've been intentional twist of the word. Pardon me for being so pedantic it even hurts my own head.

HIO (pronounced ha-yo, so it sounds like a greeting) - yes, it's an acronym

Princess Floppyears

Snugglebutt

Rosie

Cuddles McFluffy

Teddy

This thread reminds me of the polar bear pet I had on my Hunter in WoW, I named him Mr. Grumpybums. I also had a seagull named Mine, a razorclaw raptor named Wilkinson... ah damn, getting all nostalgic now.
