Does the Prestige Class Demonologist's Summoning Mastery apply to spells its casts from its other classes?

Example: Wizard 5/Demonologist 3 cast summon Monster using one of its wizard slots, does the Demonologist's summoning mastery boost the summon spell to a higher level for CE summons?

Which of course comboes fairly beautifully with fast progression casters like Ur-Priest, Sublime Chord and company. At 7th level spells you're casting SMIX (so Sublime Chord at ECL15, Ur-Priest around the same point). By taking Demonologist 6 (and losing one level of Sublime Chord progression), you could hit SMIX on ECL14, which is already pretty good when you're almost a full caster too (you'll just barely hit actual 9th level spells by ECL20). Of course, Chaotic Evil summons aren't the best... Well, SMIX does have Wastrilith [Fiend Folio] as a great option if you can manage the check to keep it controlled (Ur-Priest better in that regard with Wis-based casting, but far fewer slots).

Interesting class. I'd never really read up on it before.

Also of note: it uses the same "all spells known" spontaneous casting mechanic as the Beguiler, Dread Necro and Warmage. There's not a lot of other classes that do that.

They also get access to Bestow Curse as a 2nd level spell: not sure anyone else gets it that early?

Early a bit of a misnomer there, considering it takes 5 levels of caster to get in, which should give you bestow curse already.

Handy saving on item creation costs, though, and for archivists filling up their prayerbooks.

Exactly. Also good for Chameleons, Eternal Wands, Dragonblood Spell Pact etc.

Maybe I should have said "lower spell level" rather than "early access".
