Hello,
One day while reading the PHB, I noticed that in the DMG it says 'animal companions'
Atleast once for an epic feat.
So I thought:
Can Druids/Rangers have more than one animal companion?
And now I ask you all here...
CAN they have more than one animal companion? And if so, what are the rules for this?

Well, if you were in two classes, one that gained an Animal Companion, another that gained a counts-as-an Animal Companion kind of ability (Example: Rogue Sneak Attack and Ninja Sudden Strike), you could have two Animal companions for the purpose of feats.

The only way to get multiple animal companions, as far as I can tell considering this (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ask/20061205a), is with the Beast Master PrC in Complete Warrior.

Oh, alright then.
The wording just confused me, then. :)

It may be a 3.0/3.5 conversion glitch, IIRC, 3.0 allowed for multiple companions.

Alternatively, try the Animal Trainer class (http://wiki.faxcelestis.net/index.php?title=Animal_Trainer), or the Beast Heart Adept in Dungeonscape, or the Beastmaster in Complete Adventurer, or the Animal Lord in Complete Adventurer...

Oui oui, sir. My mistake! It is indeed Complete Adventurer. :smacks forehead:
Wild Cohort would also garner you another

It's mainly because the Epic feats were written for 3.0, and in 3.0 Druids and Rangers had multiple animal companions.
