Something in Draconomicon confused me. In Advancement and Aging (p. 142), it says "When a dragon reaches a new age category, its ability scores improve across the board."
I did find the age category charts (p. 143), but I didn't find anything about "ability scores changes".
How to calculate the changes for different age category?
A little help?

Monster manual. Ability score modifiers for any monstrous creature are just the default scores minus 10 or 11, whichever makes an even modifier.

So, Let's say a very young gold dragon. His ability score modifiers would be +10str, +6con, +6int, +6wis, +6cha?

That is correct.

Re: Dragon PCs...there was a Dragon Magazine back in the 3.5e days (I think it was issue 300 or close to that), which had a Savage Progressions-style "Class" for playing a dragon PC. One of them had the 5 MM Metallic types, another magazine later had the 5 MM Chromatic types.

Dragon #320 had the metallic dragons. Dragon #332 had the chromatic dragons.
