For context, my DM is running a survival horror campaign set in the Underdark. We start off as prisoners and try to fight to get to the surface. I talked to him about me being one of the prison guards so I can help my soon to be party escape. We have a group on the larger side so I think we already have a well rounded group.
I am thinking of making a Warforged Artificer with the Battle Smith subclass at level 3. For a backstory, I was thinking that I was left behind after a battle against Drow. The Drow took me to the Underdark becuase they saw me as a slave or spare part.
I usually enjoy roleplaying but have never been the best at it. As anyone out there with experience roleplaying a Warforged and/or Artificer?
