Is Synaptic Static dispell-able? The duration is Instantaneous, but the -d6 seems like it would be “a magical effect”, which is dispel-able per Dispel Magic.

Dispel Magic doesn't seem to have any limitations in it's own text.

Instantaneous
Many Spells are Instantaneous. The spell harms, heals, creates, or alters a creature or an object in a way that can’t be dispelled, because its magic exists only for an instant.

It seems that being duration instantaneous is definitely a hard counter to any attempt to remove magic.

I'd say that Synaptic Static is non dispellable.Maybe it gives people a perfectly mundane headache? :smalltongue:

Duration is Instantaneous; spell has already ended and there is nothing to Dispel. This is exactly like Melf’s Acid Arrow (which also causes lingering acid damage despite being duration Instantaneous).

Likely, this is just a mundane migraine, even if it's caused by a spell. Of course, even if the migraine is magical, Dispel Magic still can't work because it only ends spells (you can target a magical effect but it will have no effect if it's not tied to an ongoing spell), and the Synaptic Static has already ended.
