I need some help making scary monsters!
I’m designing a campaign, during which I want to keep the party guessing the whole time. I’ve been trying for several campaigns to scare their pants off, but I’ve yet to get all of them.
I’ve been trying to come up with monsters that “jump-scare”, twist expectations or are just plain creepy. Right now, my best idea is a swarm of bugs that hollows out bodies and wears their skins. Other monsters that I’m planning on using include Mimics and Dopplegangers and the like.
Anyone want help brainstorm some Eldritch/Lovecraftian horror monsters that will keep my party on their toes?
