Not only do I wear blue alot, but I am also alot like the colour blue in personality!

Also, this post would not be complete if I didn't also transcribe my pre-campagin campagin here, so, without further ado:


It always bothered me that Black has been assosciated with Evil. They just don't fit together, for me. IF you've read (any of) the Recluse Saga, you know what I'mgoing to drive at, here.

Black, while not technically a color is an abscence of light. The way we see is various wavelengths of electromagnetisim bouncing off various objects and striking our eyes. when we see something black, we are, in fact, receiving no visible wavelengths from the object we are observing. This can lead to oneof two observations about black. The firsst is detailed in Recluse:

Black can be representative of order. This is becuase black excludes everything from it. And doing so, being all-exclusive,is the only way one can be truly ordered. And, while I am a Chaotic Rogue, I have enough order in me to be a cleric, which is more ordered than most chaotic beings. Aye, 'tis true that I lean towards the Neutral end of the spectrum, in fact.

Black can also be represntative of Good. Lets face it, I admit that I'm good-aligned. The color black is quite famous for its low albedio, or reflectivity. It absorbs Heat, light and various other energy forms without immediatly turning it around and doling it out (which other, bright colors, such as white and yellow are all too happy to do). It takes our battering for as, acting as a shield. Its little known, that, IRL, I exhibit Martyr-ish tendancies.

Black can also, as an extension of Order, represent Death (Hey, look, REcluse-readers, I'mcoming back to you, sorry about that "good" tangent!). Becuase, as it rejects everything, it is purely Ordered, and as it absorbs energy, it is all-encompassing. Death fits this bill to a tee. It rejects outsides from knowing about it, ut will, eventually, claim all energy, and absorb it into itself. I am forced to believe this is where Black gets its Evil rep -
(Black=Death, Death=Evil, therefore, Black=Evil.) - People's own fear of Death.

I have always had a Death complex (IRL, my intials are DEF, just imagine a (American) elementary school kid pronoiuncing "deaf", the most common mis-pronunciation is, of course, "Death". I was called Death even in my early years.
Also, Thanatos MEANS Death in Greek, a fact our good I'm Da Rogue has clearly testified to.

It is for these reasons I am suited to be Black itp.

Every avatar (bar this one) I have used has included white or blue majorly in some way, If that's not a clolour theme I don't know what is. Also Shojo, whom I was voted the equivilent in the playground for, wears pretty much only blue and white. His whole city follows that colour scheme!

Consider my recent posts: None have been up to the fiery glory I once had a few weeks ago. They have been reduced to a shadow of the passion I once had. But that same passion still lies within. Fire is orange, not red. Orange is who I am. Orange is Korias.

Take a look into a light and close your eyes: What color do you see? I see orange. It is the light, diluted so one can comprehend it. The Light, forced to stoop so it can commune with others. I may not be the brightest bulb, but I always fight for the light. No matter what, no matter when, I do my part to visit sites that help people and donate to causes that will benefit others. The Literacy Site? Check. The Hunger Site? Check. Donation to Child's Play? Check. These are the things I support, and do them on My terms. Terms that are stooped into a form that people can comprehend. The light that doesnt blind them. Orange.

Third, the term 'votes' seems to have caused some confusion. In the rules, I use 'votes' and 'nominations' interchangably. So, for example, you're not allowed to trade votes, and that counts for both the nominations and the polls.

If they do get a card down, my favorite tactic is to just steal their cards. I need more theft cards.

I also play magic... I am usually drawn to red, black, or blue so I can combine removal with fast creatures... yet I always find myself drawn back to the raw beatstick power of green.

I'm already Thog ITP. That pretty much makes me the grand pooba of greeness, inner and outer. All these other folks are just people who are making a fuss over what little they have.

I have an abundance of natural green to me: max ranks in Survival, so I spend a lot of time in the greener parts of the world. I'm a half-orc, too, so I'm green no matter what I'm wearing. Plus, I've been wearing green this whole time thanks to my cape. Some people either just put on some green for candidacy or put on every color in the hopes of getting in somewhere.

Green has a bit of a duality to it in regards to personality. On one hand, there's the tie to nature: instinct, impulse, conservationism. I tend to act with my gut and be minimalistic (unless I'm roused to action like an Ent at a logging camp.) However, green is also associated with greed and envy. I can assure you, you will find nobody else more consumed by their base wants anywhere ITP.

I think you are just facing the wrong people - so please don't use that against me that I'm a primary blue player without knowing how I play blue, please. :smallsmile:

I'm just saying that generally blue decks are really not fun to play against. My game is playing without any cards in my hand, and as you said, usually there can be some trouble there, when someone makes me draw cards like crazy and return things to my hand... I'd rather push my luck, play with no hand, risk everything and, to make things a bit more fair, I like my adversary to discard his cards as well. No control, just no cards either.

Aside - You're somewhat correct - and I have gone through a snow mage before (you can see my adoration for sorcerers within my other select posts) however, I don't do PBP, so, I don't think I can really assist there. There's a few logs - but I recall only ever actually using snow casting once pre combat - and the combats weren't logged.

Purple is the color of nobility. Look in my signature, and see the hero award I was chosen to receive for being noble.

As Graklok, I won the tournament to be a knight for DarkLightDragon, a task I still attempt to perform with Graklok when she needs someone to fight for her honor. Most recently in the SMBG heal/hurt game.

I started the quest to save Atreyu from being turned into a Dragon in the startup of town.

Nobility = Purple
Nobility = Supagoof
Therefore Purple = Supagoof

And of course, others have attested to my purple.

There is yet another standard of awesome- can you match Supagoof's ability to wear purple?

Here are a few of the numberless reasons to vote for me for Grey ITP.

First: Despite not actually campaigning at all, I already have numerous nominations. This proves that Playgrounds inherently associate me with the color grey.
Second: I am a Grey Guard. Yes, a member of a prestige class that actually has the word "Grey" in it. Can any of the other candidates say that?
Third: Morally ambiguous actions for the greater good. Definitely shades of grey, even if it's grey in the service of white.
Fourth: Look at my avatar. Grey hair, grey armor, grey axe, grey boots. The only non-grey is my ankh and my sleeves, and both of them have valid reasons to be non-grey: the ankh because grey holy symbols aren't sufficiently shiny to properly intimidate the undead, and the sleeves to symbolize the underlying good behind my morally ambiguous actions.
