Honestly, CoS Is so open ended and free that you have to do most of the connections yourself, expecially depending on what your party decides to do with the information they eventually Will uncover. You may want to use npcs to guide them a bit. Most of your work will involve deciding how invasively Strahd will be interacting with the players
