Question about multiclassing and Pact Magic.

Under the Pact Magic section of multiclassing, it states:

"If you have both the Spellcasting class feature and the Pact Magic class feature from the warlock class, you can use the spell slots you gain from the Pact Magic feature to cast spells you know or have prepared from classes with the Spellcasting class feature, and you can use the spell slots you gain from the Spellcasting class feature to cast warlock spells you know."

It very specifically states the Pact Magic spell slots can be used to cast spells from other classes. It does not state that the Pact Magic slots can be used to activate any other classes features besides casting spells.

Does this mean that Pact Magic spell slots cannot be used for the Flexible Casting feature of Sorcerers, since that is not casting a spell you know or have prepared from another class?

Let's see what Flexible Casting says:

Creating Spell Slots.
You can transform unexpended sorcery points into one spell slot as a bonus action on your turn. The created spell slots vanish at the end of a long rest. The Creating Spell Slots table shows the cost of creating a spell slot of a given level. You can create spell slots no higher in level than 5th.

Converting a Spell Slot to Sorcery Points.
As a bonus action on your turn, you can expend one spell slot and gain a number of sorcery points equal to the slot's level.

Does Pact Magic give you spell slots? Yes, it does.
Does Flexible Casting have any limitations on what spell slot you have to use with it, like Eldritch Smite? No, it does not.

You can use Pact Magic spell slots for Flexible Casting.

Sadly the multi-class rules do not say anything, one way or the other, about combining Warlock slots and Sorcery. I do not allow it as it is too easy to abuse but other DM's might.

That's correct.

For example, if you wanted the Sorcerer Capstone before level 20, you could take 3 levels of warlock... You'd be able to use a pair of bonus actions to turn your pair of 2nd-level pact slots into 4 sorcery points, and do it again every short rest. However, because Pact Magic and Spellcasting don't mix in progressions, you're setting back an entire level of spells you could cast, and higher-level spell slots.

JackPhoenix is correct. This is the principle that the coffeelock is built on.
