View Full Version : Pathfinder 2e has a lot of clerical errors.

Paizo should have hired a proof-reader. There are a ridiculous number of mistakes left in from the design that shouldn't have made it through.
The first two that spring to mind are that on p86, the barbarian animal instinct deer refers to the non-existent charge trait, and that on p491 it says, "make up an undefined action (page XXX)" and there isn't even a section on undefined actions anywhere in the book.
Has anyone else who's got a copy got any other ones. It's pretty terrible, the state the books shipped in. I love the game, but Paizo has got to get their act together.

If I didn't see three of them get credited at the end of every book, I'd believe Paizo had no editorial staff. Advanced Class Guide was the huge offender, and every book after that has been a similar level of trainwreck when it comes to editing.

I'm disappointed - I was hoping that the thread title was a pun about clerics :P

Is it as bad as a creature doing 1d8 + 1 dawizard on a hit?

This doesn't surprise me, since PF 1e started as basically a copypaste of the 3.5 OGL. Not much editing needed when you're hitting control+P control+C and control+V.

Maybe they just don't have people who are good at making/editing the first books of a game?

It is as if the playtest turned up more issues than could reasonably be fixed and proofread by a Gencon release date, but Paizo was unwilling or unable to delay the launch to fix it all.

And that's why you don't buy first printings.
I haven't seen a print copy yet, but I expect Shadowrun 6 to have the exact same issues.

The most glaring error in Pathfinder 2e is that it was released at all in the first place.
