Hello guys.

I have a system I have been working on for several years now and I have my professions (beta name, they originally were archetypes, But I am open to suggestions on the nomeclature)

Anyways it is not a class based system. But skill based. it is just that each particular choice comes with its own benefit. The professions and a short decritpion are as follows separated by the focus

Soldier
Bodyguard- specializes in the protection of others
Security Specialist- the combat hacker (hybrid scientist/soldier)
Gunner- operator of weapon systems
Law Enforcer- well.. what it say on the tin
Mercenary- warriors who fight for money
Trooper- the standard soldier in an army
Psi-Marine- the psionic future solider

Diplomat
Ambassador- official representative of a governmental or military entity
Cleric- the psychic diplomat
Entertainer- think bard... in space
Envoy-specializes in first contact
Trader- the guy that gets the goods

Agent
Bounty Hunter- takes money to bring somebody in, maybe using less than legal ways
Explorer- a scout and master guide (a hybrid Agent/diplomat)
Gamber- the psionic chance altering guy
Spy- master infiltrator
Spacehand- the jack-of-all trades

Scientist
Comp-tech- Hacker guy
Doctor- the necessary medicinal guy (combat is brutal and deadly in this system)

Soo.... it's Star Wars' (FFG) Careers and Specializations?

I have no idea what star wars ffg is, so I cannot speak on that.

What I am looking at is if I got enough archetypes covered here. Maybe I am leaving something important out. Or if I should keep them being called professions or change it to something else.

I have no idea what star wars ffg is, so I cannot speak on that.

He was referring to the RPGs "Star Wars: Edge of the Empire & Age of Rebellion & Force and Destiny" from Fantasy Flight Games.
(I quite liked the few games of Edge of the Empire I've played, though I found the way character progression is handled quite clumsy, if not broken)

You can take a look here at the list of Career and Specialization: https://star-wars-fringe.obsidianportal.com/wiki_pages/careers-and-specializations
Each of the 3 books come with 6 Career, and each Career with 3 Specialization, and the total list is quite similar to yours.
