The Rogues of The Laughing Midnight
Based out of Everlund, this group of enigmatic elven rogues and thieves all follow or worship Erevan Ilesere, the elven god of mischief and trickery, rogues and change. They operate in Silverymoon and Everlund as any goodly guild would. Yet the many faceted guild is Led by Curudin Ahmaquissar, a Chosen of Erevan Ilesere himself, and frivolous commander of the organization. As chaotic as any elf of Erevan Ilesere can be, he commands his wide-spread guild with a random fist. He leaves his other cells across Faerun in charge of the competent Lords and Ladies he has strategically placed there. Most of them being followers of Erevan Ilesere and using this opportunity to establish themselves outside the guild and separate cells. Loyalty to nobody is the key rule, yet absolute devotion to Erevan Ilesere is beyond discussion. It is just a given. The elven god of Mischief calls to his followers differently. You do not have to be a cleric of Erevan Ilesere in order for the fickle god to notice you. In fact, Erevan Ileresere Likes it this way.
Currently (1585 DR), there are three different cells of the Laughing Midnight in Faerun. Their main base is in Everlund and Silverymoon jointly. Their second cell is located in Daggerford, along the Trade Way, and often conflict with "The Knaves of The Missing Page" in that region. The third and newest cell is located in Zazzespur, which unfortunately incited a guild war with the current thieves guild in that southern city. All members of the guild must be at least 3'rd level in the Rogue class to qualify or have the sufficient skills of a 3'rd level rogue. Sometimes Curudin or other powerful members go out seeking potential guild members. Other times, those guild members seem to come to him.
The guild has expanded properly and evasively throughout western Faerun. From The Savage North, to the Mountains of Mir on the northern borders of Calimshamn. They have set up countless operatives throughout the region of the Calim Desert. Mage killers and Shadowdancers in service to The Rogues of The Laughing Midnight. As of 1589 DR, the Mosstone Cell is currently infiltrating the Wererat guild in the sewers of Calimport.
The guild specializes in odd jobs and specialties, ranging from Temple raiders to assassins, Mage-Killers, Second-story cat-burglars, melee duelists, professional Dungeon-Delvers, Dilettante-Warriors, Bardic-Deceivers, Feywild masters, Gem and stone artificers, Jewel appraisers, Antique mongers, Magical and non-magical crafters of weapons, armor and items desired. The guild has members that are specialized to meet the needs of anyone with enough coin, from Rangers and Scouts, to Favored Souls, Sacred Fists and Monks of Erevan Ilesere. From Divine Seekers and Divine Champions to Vigilantes and elven Avengers. Although the Laughing Midnight is strictly an elven guild, it is not uncommon for you to encounter rogue clerics of the other trickster deities around the guild members during any given encounter.
