College of Hymns

Director of the Faithful
When you choose this college at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor and shields. You can also use a holy symbol as a spellcasting focus for your bard spells, as well as a musical instrument.

Lasting Inspiration
Starting at 3rd level, creatures that use your bardic inspiration die gain a bardic inspiration die back at the end of the current turn, which is d4. this die lasts until the end of their next turn, and can be used as normal. Using the bardic Inspiration die granted by this feature does not grant an additional die in this manner.

At 14th level, a creature gains a d6 instead of a d4. When a creature uses the d6 die, it gains a d4 from this feature, which also lasts until the end of the creatures turn after the creature obtains it.

Aura of the Divine
Starting at 6th level, whenever a friendly creature of your choice starts within within 10 feet of you, it gains a number of temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one).

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Sacred Radiance
From 14th level you can unleash a glaring light as an action, which lasts for 1 minute. You emit bright light for 30 feet, and dim light for an additional 30 feet. Magical Darkness created by spells of 5th level or lower is not dispelled by this light, but it is suspended for the duration. Undead have disadvantage on attack rolls against creatures in this light and creatures have advantage on saving throws made against any effect created by an undead.

You can use this ability once, and regain it at the end of a short or long rest.

Fairly straightforward, I think. A slight issue when multiclassing between this and a paladin, but otherwise it fits. Considering sacred radiance is a bit weak, I'm wondering if the buff to lasting inspiration is still too strong. given it only lasts for another round I figure granting so many additional uses of bardic inspiration are okay?

OK, for an instant I started to dream about a bard with cleric or paladin spells... XD

I don't think Lasting Ispiration is OP, since you don't add other effects to Ispiration... Maybe you can reduce the die to a d6 at 14th level.

Finally, I have another clericbard (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?585663-College-of-the-Cantor) to go with my bardcleric (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?585678-Inspiration-Domain-(PEACH))! Woop!

Expanding the bard spell list might be a bit ridiculous though. Bards can already pick up Find Greater Steed three levels before paladins can, for example. I'd probably go in the other direction for that, listing a bunch of bard spells as domain/oath spells.

Woop! Thanks for the examples. It's always interesting to see how other people handle the same base concept. At one point I was actually considering granting Channel Divinity at 6th level, similar to how the clericbard you linked uses bardic inspiration dice. Felt weird for some reason, though.
