Dragon Wild Shape and Half-Dragons

If Half-Dragons count as dragons, could the Draconomicon feat Dragon Wild Shape allow one to turn into a creature with the half-dragon template so long as all other restrictions of the feat and wild shape ability were obeyed?

Or is this feat only to turn into "true" dragons?

IIRC Wild Shape inherits from Alternate Form, which does not allow templates.

But, there is that feat for true dragons who use alternate form to apply half-dragon template to whatever they turn into. Obviously, this is restricted to half-whatever type they are. I'm betting there's cheese to be had there.
