Hi folks

I want to use the Dragonborn race for my 3.5 games, but I didn't like the Dragonborn of Bahamut from RotD. I thought about using half-dragon template but LA +3 is too much. I want it to be strong, charismatic, have natural armor and breath weapon. I think LA +1 wouldn't be enough for these traits, so i decided it to be LA +2.

I would appreciate if you guys to evaluate the game balance of this race.

- Monstrous humanoid with dragonblood subtype.

- +4 to str, -2 to dex, +2 to con, +2 to cha

-Medium Creature

- Base land speed 30 ft

-Darkvision 60 ft, low light vision

-Natural armor bonus +2

- 1d6 bite as natural weapon

- Energy resistance 10. Chosen according to color of the dragonborn.

- Breath weapon. 20 ft cone or 40 ft line.

-Level adjustment +2

The breath weapon deals 1d8 points of damage,
plus an extra 1d8 points for each 3 HD the dragonborn
possesses (2d8 at 3 HD, 3d8 at 6 HD, and so on). . A successful
Reflex save (DC 10 + 1/2 the dragonborn’s HD + her Con
modifier) halves the damage. A dragonborn can use her
breath weapon once every 1d4 rounds

I would like to hear your suggestions. By the way, there aren't many munchkin players in my group, or in my city for that matter. So you shouldn't compare it to half minotaur water orc. Apart from core, I allow goliath, tiefling and aasimar for my games.
