Trying out a character idea and wanted to find out if I'm handling this properly.
The character is a woodland elf who was born prematurely when her tribe fled through the Feywild to escape a dragon attack.
Born deformed her parents and tribe wanted to abandon her, but her aging paternal grandfather refused to abandon her taking her with him into exile.
He eventually fostered her with a family unaware of her true nature before he passed on, but the village was attacked and enslaved by orcs using a pair of artefacts.
She escaped being captured and recovering managed to rescue the others after stealing the orcish artefacts and led them off so those she had freed could free the others and escape back to the forest.
To insure their escape she gave back the artefacts so the orcs respecting her sacrifice allowed them to leave unmolested but then their leader assuming she wasn't elvish used the artefacts in an attempts to paralyse her only to discover she was actually a full woodland elf.
Her tribe having sent a pair to attempt to rescue her learned of her true nature as she escaped back to the forest without their aid.
Her secret revealed she was prejudiced against eventually set up on false charges and petrified because they were that scared of her true nature given by their standards an elf who looked like a plain faced human was an abomination and blamed for why they were caught so unprepared by the orcs.
Freed accidentally a century later to discover her foster tribe had fled their forest home abandoning it to the humans who set up logging camps as well as built settlements of their own.
She eventually settled down and married however her relationship was brief as her husband divorced her to marry someone more suitable when he became heir to his families estate.
Their son inspired by his mother eventually became a knight and paladin but died when a number of magical beasts were unleashed within a city which she suspected was actually a successful attempt to eliminate a threat to the throne as he was a much worthier heir than her ex-husband's son with his new noble born wife.
Grief stricken she became a hermit until her grandson sought her out this led to her current identity as a Herbalist.

Age: 269 (actually 169 she was petrified to stone for a century being freed when her deity released her from the false imprisonment during a solstice dedicated to her deity though she doesn't know that!)
Languages: Common, Elvish, Orcish and Dwarven.
