Can someone explain to me why prosthetic limbs require attunement when they don't give much benefit on their own? I can understand somewhat if they could be used to attune to warforged specific items like the wand sheathe and the armblade, but it seems like a lot to require attunement otherwise. It seems like they are just there for flavor.

I haven't had a look, but could be fluff (attuned is how you make it part of you, not just attached to you) or could be because it counters debilitating issues until/unless higher-level magic is available (limb loss) while also granting a bonus (apparently!)

I don’t like that they require attunement either but I understand, even though they are only making you functional again, magic prosthetics are still MAGIC & doing more for you than a shield hook hand. They are also very intimately connected to you & therefore your “aura” or whatever which is the explanation of why you attune things in the first place.
