Help an idiot unfold the map in Eberron: RftLW

So, I just bought Eberron: Rising from the Last War and started flipping through it.

At the end, a folded map. Nice!

But, uh, er... Am I supposed to detach it? Or does it remain connected to the book by one side? Like, where do I pull?

I feel utterly dumb asking this, but it is better than risking a rip.

It is perforated about a half inch from the spine. just fold it back and forth on there a few times and it'll work itself off

I take it back. The idiot is whoever designed it this way.

Sure, let's have people fidget with the new book about one centimeter away from its spine. They will love doing this, especially if they remember early 5e printings falling apart.

Thanks for this thread. I've been reluctant to mess with it either, until now.

I'm going to use scissors to cut along the perforation.
