Can anyone name some prestige classes that improve your abilities? I know the paragon classes do, but what other options are there?

Dragon devotee gives +2 STR, +2 CON and +2 CHA over 5 levels.
Fatemaker gives +3 CHA over 10 levels.
Primeval gives some pluses and some minuses.
Many caster prcs gives +2 to mental stat at level 10.

Cancer Mage, though indirectly by intentionally contracting Festering Anger (Book of Vile Darkness). Good luck with that.... :smalltongue:

Forsaker gives a +1 to a stat of your choice at every level. These are apparently inherent bonuses, so I think they might not stack by RAW, but they're clearly intended to.

Fiend-Blooded also gives various stat bonuses I can't recall the precise amounts of right now. It's in Heroes of Horror, if I remember correctly.

Chameleon 4 grants a +2 competence bonus to an ability score of your choice, increasing to +4 at level 7 and +6 at level 10.

They do stack but they're capped at +5.

I believe Warshaper does as well.

I believe Warshaper does as well.

Warshaper gives +4 Str and +4 Con when you're in a shape other than your own natural one, so basically yes.

Do racial paragon classes count? Most of those give a +2 at 3rd.

Those were mentioned in OP, I think we're looking outside of those.

Probably not really what you are looking for, but Bear Warrior when you transform boosts STR, DEX & CON. amount varies with level.

If we're counting PrCs that give rage or similar abilities, then the list grows. That list would include Fist of the First, Outcast Champion, Frenzied Beserker, Wild Runner, Weretouched Master (which improves upon shifting), the previously mentioned Primeval, the Beserk class from Deities and Demigods (doubly so because it has two different X/day abilities that boost stats), and then any PrC that grants but does not require rage to enter.

Even better, you can change it 2x /day.

Warchief, Miniatures Handbook pg. 24. Gives you a permanent +6 CHA over 10 levels.

They do stack but they're capped at +5.

Actually, it seems that this stacking is a particular function of the wish spell, and only when cast in immediate succession. So by RAW, the +1 bonuses the forsaker gets one at a time would not stack with one another.

Relevant text:

Two to five wish spells cast in immediate succession can grant a creature a +2 to +5 inherent bonus to an ability score (two wishes for a +2 inherent bonus, three for a +3 inherent bonus, and so on). Inherent bonuses are instantaneous, so they cannot be dispelled. Note: An inherent bonus may not exceed +5 for a single ability score, and inherent bonuses to a particular ability score do not stack, so only the best one applies.

Looks like it's incomplete. Off the top of my head, it's missing the tainted and infused prestige classes from Dragon #302 and #321 respectively, and some items as well.

The D&D Glossary (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/glossary&term=Glossary_dnd_inherentbonus&alpha=) agrees with this:

Inherent Bonus

A bonus to an ability score resulting from powerful magic, such as a*wish.*Inherent bonuses cannot be dispelled. A character is limited to a total inherent bonus of +5 to any ability score. Multiple inherent bonuses to a particular ability score do not stack, so only the best one applies.

Meditant has big stat bonuses (+6 untyped to all - temporary but they last for hours.) Crystal Master can also give untyped bonuses to multiple stats.
