Is this Broken? Artificer with no Spells...

I was thinking of asking my DM if I could play the new artificer, but instead of spells known he would gain infusions known, and instead of spells per day, he would get flat infusions per day.

So essentially this is an Artificer with no spells who has a lot more versatility with his infusions.

Is this too broken, or is it too under powered?

Hard to tell. you would need a lot of infusions to replace casting and would also need to change all the subclass features that boost spells. I wouldn't mind taking a stab at it. About a year ago I wrote a artificial that is not a caster in the traditional sense.
