The bartender scoffed as the odd ladies in the bar, an elf and dwarf, got their fortunes read by Dan (a known scoundrel and vagabond).

John Kerthaniel, a man who has fallen on bad fortune when his farm was burned to the ground during the forest fire last year, was also in the bar that night. It's said he has gone crazy afterwards and it's true he's been up to all sorts of odd ventures as of late.

After Shimay and Seva received their readings, John sat down with the odd lot. He introduces himself to the group and asks for a reading as well.

"Strange, all of you got the Knight of Wands upright..." Dan says trailing off. "It means you three are in for an adventure."

Cyne enters the bar. He's exhausted after a long day of work: he's just escorted a caravan home after a long week abroad. He sits heavily at a table and points at Dan to Evel Porte, the fortune teller whose caravan he was hired to protect.
"Looks like you've got some competition tonight."

Evel Porte walks straight to Dan's table. She unveils her hand mirror with a mystical gesture, inspects the cards layout for a moment, then concludes:
"What's that? You've got it all mixde up buddy, the Squire should be the other way round! Guys, I wouldn't accept a 100 gp gift if one of his prophecies told me to do just that. Come and I'll show you what a real fortune teller can do."
She then proceeds to sit at Cyne's table and to unveil her own set of tarot cards.

Zigil is weary after a day at the mine. She's slightly amused by all the ruckus caused by the conflict between the two diviners. She slowly stands up and walks up to her fellow dwarven miner Seva Steelsmasher.
"Hi sis. I'm Zigil. How long before a bar brawl erupts? 5 coppers it's before 2 minutes."
