I知 currently 4th lvl and I知 making a bonded ring for my wizard. If I understand correctly I知 allowed to turn my bonded item into an intelligent item.

Intelligent item creation says it needs 5 things
Alignment
Mental ability scores
Language
Senses
1 special ability

So I知 looking at:

LE
Int, Wis, Cha at 11 For 600gp
Telepathy For 1000gp and +1 ego
Senses to 30ft
Can cast a 1st lvl spell 3/day for 1200gp and +1 ego

Base cost is 2800gp for a total of +3 ego

So does that mean I can create the ring for 1400gp (half price it being a bonded item) How long will it take me to create it? How do I pick the spell it can cast, can I give it a cure spell, does it have to be off my list? Does it have to be a spell I already know? Is this totally wrong? Lol

As far as I can tell there is no way to intentionally do this. You can ask your GM to make your bonded item intelligent and they can grant your request, but there's no crafting rules that will guarantee this outcome, save for something more specific like the Bladebound Magus' Black Blade. The costs given are guidelines to help your GM with deciding when certain abilities and stats should be available on the items you find (or inadvertently create) but are not crafting instructions.

Like with any NPC, your GM will choose the powers and abilities the intelligent item will have - your own spell list shouldn't matter, it can cast healing spells even if you have no healing on your list if the GM wants it to, for example.

If 3.5 content is allowed, the gem from Nybor's Psychic Imprint (http://archive.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mb/20041215a) can be used to make intelligent magic items. Besides that, I'm not aware of any rules for making intelligent items, so ask your DM.

Reread those rules - they have pricing guidelines for added abilities and statistics, but nothing that actually makes the base intelligent item you're starting with. The GM has to make that.

Theres also Nybors Psychic Imprint and Weapons of Legacy both of which make player generated Int Magic Items.

Neither of those are Pathfinder though. And I'm not saying it's impossible for players to make them, just like it's not impossible for a player to make any custom item, but both of these require GM approval as well:

- Weapons of Legacy must either be generated in treasure or require a GM-approved "momentous event" to found the necessary legacy (WoL 179)
- Per the link above, Nybor's is considered an "unusual spell" and those need DM permission to learn (PHB 179). Nybor's is also [Evil] so it's probably not intended for player use most of the time.

(Sidenote, it's interesting those ended up being the same page number in two very different books.)
