So I was watching youtube and found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aZaiKGC-4A
Micro Compound Hunting bows. And it occur to me. How much better such small, sophisticated and well design bows fit the "Elf Bow"stereotype. They do not require lot's of strange. Are perfect for hunting. Shoot far stronger than they look. And you must have "Elf Craftsmanship" to make theme. Also you must be proficient in maintaining and repairing this engineering marvel.

What you guys think about Elfs that use this Compound Micro Bows?
May this is their response to steampunk/gunpowder gadgets?

Also what stats will you give this MCB?(Micro Compound Bows)

I don't use those exact micro-bows, but I use the compound bow concept for the elves in my setting. Construction (and maintenance) is limited by resources (the elves have most of those resources locked down and control the techniques required to refine/manufacture most of them) and knowledge (the manufacturing techniques are very closely held). I also make use of a variation of the 'instant-Legolas' design.

My elves prefer to rely on magic but many use bows and these are recurve compounds.

They also supply bows to the human client-states that surround their lands. These fall into two categories:

-The recurve compounds are essentially light bows. The variants they provide to their human servants make use of the 'instant-Legolas' magazine option with a trigger/drawing handle. So the string can be pulled back and it locks into a drawn position and the archer uses a squeeze trigger to release the string and shoot an arrow. Five round magazine. These are typically used by mobile units and don't require a lot of skill. I have been using these as +1 (non-magical) to hit.
-The reverse draw compound crossbows are the other type. The longer draw of these weapons allows them to impart a lot of power to the arrow they fire. Again, five clip capacity and these tend to go to marksmen who operate them as part of a support team. They can, and are, scaled up to siege-size weapons. I've been using the man-portable versions of these as +1 (non-magical) to hit and +2 (non-magical) for damage.
