How is the number of spirits a Pactmaker starting beyond level 1 has completed the knowledge tasks for?

As written they only get the one regardless of starting level. However, since there is a quantifiable cost associated with these Knowledge Tasks (i.e. the price of a Gnostic Tome of the relevant level), you can spend your WBL to start with appropriate tomes as part of your equipment, thus letting you start with additional "spirits known."
