Now it suddenly come across me that there's a paragraph in SRD:
A creature or object brought into being or transported to your location by a conjuration spell cannot appear inside another creature or object, nor can it appear floating in an empty space. It must arrive in an open location on a surface capable of supporting it.
This text is not bound to any specific sub-schools, so it applies to any Conjuration spells that "brings a creature into being or transports a creature to your location". While it sounds that this text mostly aims to rule Sommoning/Calling spells, some of the teleportation spells seems to be affected by the text if RAW rule is applied.
For example, Benign Transposition certainly teleports an ally to your location, and Regroup also seems to be affected by this text. If you try to Gate some allies into help, this text will forbidden you from Gating them hundreds of ft. above the ground or into a plane that is mostly empty space, like the Plane of Air or the Plane of Negative Energy.
This result seems somewhat troublesome to me, but what do you playgrounders think?
