So I am building a wizard (technically a cherub (https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/3rd-party-classes/alessandro-passera/of-stranger-bonds/blessed-order/cherubim-arcane/)) and need help picking spells because I have some very specific requirements:

No single target spells
No range under medium
No areas under 15 foot
CC > damage but both is better

Notes:
The game is 3.PF (if a spell occurs in both 3.5 > PF in precedence)
I am level 12
I am a wood specialist (fire spells as banned 3.5 style) and have the shadow domain from Eberron.

I can make some suggestions but I do not understand your aversion to single target?

Sometimes it pays to hit one guy really hard...

Anyways (And use Sculpt Spell metamagic for spells with lower range)

Grease
Web
Stinking Cloud
Cloudkill*
Fog Cloud
Glitterdust
Slow
Black Tentacles

* Make sure to use this one effectively, it will either be very good or totally useless.

This character is for a wargame type deal, so I am fighting units of 50+ enemies and the enemy may be fielding armies in the hundreds. Single target/small area (such as grease/glitterdust) are unable to have meaningful impact.

Then, as I said, before use Sculpt Spell or even Widen Spell to avoid this problem.

Preferably with metamagic reducers.

Last battle was against large enemies. A widened glitterdust would hit 4. That that be fewer than 1/10 an average sized unit and thus unable to have a meaningful impact as a best case scenario. 20 foot radius is on the narrow side, which is why I have wide and EMM (widen). Sculpt spell simply covers too small an area.

I did not choose those parameters for giggles.

EMM is typically not worth the first slot.

Use both then. Split it into several squares, then have Widen apply. Simple.

After this, you do realize that there just aren't that many spells that will do this, right? And your party cannot be effective in this environment, there are simply too many bodies on the other side. And what if you hit allies?

If you were higher level I could make some recommendations. But at this level I sadly don't have too much to work with. DD spells just don't do enough damage to be worth it typically.

I don't care about damage. I have an army behind me. The only damage spell I have taken so far in Sinsabur's Baleful Bolt because somewhere between 2 and 6 Con/Str damage in a line so massive I can slice up a battalion with it.

I am on an obscure spell hunt at this stage, because there are a ton of spells spread over a massive number of books and very few really suit my needs.

Some others I have confirmed are Ice Web, Arctic Haze, Boreal Wind, Baleful Bolt, Call Avalanche*, and Mudslide. Black Tentacles are dubious due to the grapple mods on some of these things but honestly worth a shot. I have free feats so I will use sculpt spell; you are right the 4 cubes could be useful with some very careful positioning.

*druid spell accessed through Shadow Evocation

I just discovered Legion's Magic Weapon/GMW, so thanks to EMM (widen) those will be incredibly useful.
