Marbula One and Marble League - somehow making marbles epic

So there's this pair of series on YouTube by Jelle's Marble Runs. Both of them deal with marble athletes. Yes, you heard that right. Marble athletes. Yes, those little round things. He has two series, Marble League (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSmWeUDtr9fDKXL0UDaCEFxkb9fbQEOZH) (formally the Marblelympics) and Marbula 1 (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLSmWeUDtr9fBm-OMFrcYtDRnmPwvjKt_s) that sets teams of marbles competing in various activities. (As well as the Marble Rally, but that's not as big as the other two). It's really well shot, they have a commentator that gives play-by-play on the events, and the whole thing is treated like it's separate marble universe. It's a ridiculous premise, but it's taken seriously with just enough lightheartedness to make it hilarious. The events and races are pretty interesting in their own right and you end up finding yourself rooting for a team of marbles. Go check it out! And GO HAZERS! #HazeAmaze

I started getting recommended stuff like this after I subscribed to Wintergatan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IvUU8joBb1Q). Turns out these marbles are pretty good musicians as well. The new marble machine is growing closer to completion week by week.

Ahh.. I never really liked the standard Marble Runs, but I LOOVE me some Marblelympics. These are the most tense and high stakes video I've seen in a long while.

I enjoy watching the dude iron out the production values as he goes. The Marbula 1 tracks are steadily getting more interesting and less janky, for example.

So, moving into the last race of the inaugural season of Marbula 1

Smoggy gets the first track win for the Hazers, putting the team back into 1st by 14 points! They've locked up at worst 3rd place, but if they can beat the Orangers and the Savage Speeders, or at least not trail too much, they've got 1st. There's some good odds there!
