Wikinews article (http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Armando_museum_up_in_flames)

The short story is that the Armando museum in Amersfoort went up in flames, it had 3 millions worth of works in there, part of which was on loan of other museums or private individuals.

paintings can be painted again

I think there are many artist that would disagree with that. That blows big time I wonder if there were any major pieces there?

The entire collection is gone, including works of Albrecht Dürer, Jacob van Ruisdael, Anselm Kiefer, Richard Long, Charles-François Daubigny and Hercules Seghers, plus 3 million euros worth of works of Armando and his personal archive.

It always sucks to lose artworks, no matter what your personal stance on the specific art in question is. Art is our legacy to the future, in many ways.
