How can we enjoy the benefit of Sequester without being comatose?

When cast, this spell not only prevents divination spells from working to detect or locate the creature or object affected by sequester, it also renders the affected creature or object invisible to any form of sight or seeing (as the invisibility spell). The spell does not prevent the subject from being discovered through tactile means or through the use of devices. Creatures affected by sequester become comatose and are effectively in a state of suspended animation until the spell wears off or is dispelled.

Note: The Will save prevents an attended or magical object from being sequestered. There is no save to see the sequestered creature or object or to detect it with a divination spell.

Comatose: Effectively in a state of suspended animation. A comatose creature is helpless.

Helpless: Paralyzed, held, bound, sleeping, unconscious, or otherwise completely at an opponent’s mercy. A helpless target is treated as having a Dexterity of 0 (–5 modifier). Melee attacks against a helpless target get a +4 bonus. An attacker can use a coup de grace against a helpless target.

Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing. Ring of sequestering, market price 300,000 gp.

Well, in addition to the above ring, try metamorphosising (https://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/metamorphosis.htm) into a conscious object. Have someone else cast sequester, as you can't manifest while an object. Only creatures are rendered comatose, so as long as you're a conscientious objector, you should be fine. Combine with some way to animate objects (including control object or control body on yourself [the latter if you're a humanoid-shaped marionette]) using psionic contingency and you can even move around and do things. Or dismiss metamorphosis and hope you retain the invisibility aspect without worrying about being completely out of it. You weren't a creature when the thing was first cast, after all.

You could also try building yourself a body (Emperor Tippy style), sequester it, have someone else polymorph any object it into a creature, then swap your mind in before having the caster dismiss the PAO.

There are options, here.

If the object becomes a creature, though, it also becomes subject to the portion of the spell that renders it comatose.

If the object becomes a creature, though, it also becomes subject to the portion of the spell that renders it comatose. It'd be a good idea to test this aforetime, then.

There are other possibilities to try.

Casting sequester on a psychoactive skin of proteus to make it invisible. Use the metamorphosis effect on yourself. You become invisible and undetectable due to the effect itself being invisible, and you become invisible as a side effect. Thing is, you are not the target of sequester, so you wouldn't be put under. Maybe.

Cast it on grafts before adding their biological distinctiveness to your own. Extra arms without looking weird. Bonus points if they're both incorporeal and ghost touch. Invisible, incorporeal, and yet functional. I wonder what would happen if you cast it on an illithid humanoid skin graft.

I'm sure there are others, too.

No, the skin is invisible, you're just wearing it. All it does is let people see through it. It's like trying to hide behind an invisible wall. Hope you're wearing clothes underneath.
